2012.07.30 - Dana Vollmer won a gold medal at the Olympics and set a world record, too.  Article.

2012.07 - The Olympics in London will have a special interest for the family of Mary and Dave Jessup. A little grandparent bragging: our grandaughter-in-law,  Dana Vollmer, is a member of the USA swim team.   At the Olympic  time trials in Omaha she broke her American record in the 100m butterfly.  Last year in the FINA World Championships, Dana swam to gold in the 100m butterfly, 56.87. Also in the 2011 World Championships she took gold as part of the 4 x 100m medley relay team and silver in the 400m freestyle relay.  In the 2004 Olympics in Athens she received gold on the 800m freestyle relay that broke a 17 year old world record. In between she received many other world, national, NCAA, PAC-10 and Pan-Pacific awards.  Watch for her in the Olympics swimming the 100m butterfly and on the 4x100 free relay team.

2012.06 - Many of Jean and Russell Ormsby's children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren had a week long gathering in Maryland over the Fourth of July.  Activities included time in Washington D.C., Hershey Park, and Annapolis.  On the 4th, a touch football game and cook-out were hosted by Dana and Richard.

2010.09 - Law & Politics named William W. Kregel one of eight attorneys selected as Michigan Rising Stars for 2010.  Bill is the son of Suzanne and Ron Kregel.  Bill is associated with the Dykema Law Firm,  Bloomfield Hills, MI office where his practice focuses on general corporate and securities matters.

2010.08 - The Ormsby family is having a weekend reunion.  Twenty of Jean and Russell's children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren are attending from Texas, Minnesota, Maryland and Michigan.  Sixteen of the family members were able to tour Northern Michigan together for a few days prior to the Neller Reunion.

2009.06 - Leona and Worden Garber celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary and Leona's 95th birthday with a party hosted by their son and daughter-in-law, Lynn and Marcia Garber.
  

2007.07.25 - Andy Grant , swam on the USA team at the Pan American Games 2007 in Rio de Janeiro , Brazil .  He swam on three relay teams and received 2 silver medals and one gold medal!  The gold medal race was the 4x100 IM relay and their time of 3:34.37 broke the Pan American Games record!  His parents are Sharon and Brian Grant , his grandparents are Mary and Dave Jessup.
